Lead Operational Excellence Across a Growing National Portfolio

 

Spotlight Retail Group (SRG) is experiencing significant growth across its national footprint. To support this expansion and strengthen the delivery of facilities services across our brands and properties, we are introducing a new senior leadership role – Facilities Operations Manager.

 

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Group Head of Facilities, this newly created role provides strategic and operational leadership across our multi-site portfolio. You will oversee and support a team of five Facilities Managers, ensuring consistent standards, high performance, and strong alignment with Spotlight Groups operational and commercial objectives.


This is a key leadership position responsible for driving best-practice facilities operations, enhancing service quality, and supporting the continued growth of our store and property networks.

 

Key Responsibilities

Leadership and People Management

  • Lead, mentor, and develop five Facilities Managers across their specialist service categories.
  • Promote consistent operating standards and foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Operational Excellence

  • Oversee end-to-end planned and reactive maintenance across Spotlight Groups national store and property portfolio.
  • Support minor capital works and operational improvement initiatives.

Contract and Vendor Governance

  • Ensure all facilities operations meet WHS, legislative, and Essential Safety Measures requirements.
  • Drive proactive risk mitigation and operational assurance.

Financial and Strategic Support

  • Oversee operational expenditure, identify cost-optimisation opportunities, and support annual budgeting.
  • Provide reporting, insights, and recommendations to senior leadership.

 

 

Who You Are

  • An experienced leader in Facilities Management with exposure to large, complex, or multi-site environments.
  • Skilled in leading technical teams and managing specialist service portfolios.
  • An effective communicator able to partner with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Highly organised, commercially astute, and confident working with fast-paced operational settings.
  • Comfortable balancing strategic thinking with hands-on operational leadership.
