Spotlight Retail Group (SRG)—the powerhouse behind Spotlight, Anaconda, and Harris Scarfe—is looking for a high-profile IT Project Manager to drive business-critical initiatives. The Opportunity
Reporting to the Program Delivery Manager, this is a high-profile project to migrate SRG from legacy technology stacks (BW / BW on HANA / BeX / AFO and Oracle / MicroStrategy) to Snowflake / Power BI on AWS.
The successful candidate will lead cross-functional teams (business, IT and Systems Integrator) to deliver an enterprise-scale data platform to ensure alignment with business objectives, technical standards, and governance frameworks.
This role requires a blend of project management excellence, technical understanding, stakeholder engagement skills and a keen understanding of data analytics and insights.
What You’ll Be Doing
End-to-End Delivery: Oversee design and implementation of multiple project streams - including the data platform, semantic layer and delivery of the data analytics and insights.
Data & Insights Focus: Collaborate with stakeholders to define data requirements and ensure project deliverables align with business intelligence goals.
Financial Stewardship: Forecast, monitor, and report on project financial performance to ensure zero over-expenditure - IFOTB.
Stakeholder Influence: Provide day-to-day management of the project re vendors (onshore & offshore), lead cross-functional project teams (Business & IT), manage SteerCo communications.
Methodology Mastery: Apply Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid frameworks to ensure quality, consistency and streamlined collaboration of the multi-disciplinary teams across the SDLC.
What You Bring
Experience: 5+ years as an IT Project Manager, ideally within a large-scale or multi-brand Retail environment.
Technical Edge: Proven experience with Data Analytics and Insights projects is essential – experience with our technology platforms is a bonus.
Toolkit: Proficiency in Atlassian Suite (JIRA/Confluence) and Microsoft O365.
The "Extras": Tertiary qualifications in IT/Information Systems; formal PM certifications (PMP/PRINCE2) are highly regarded.
Leadership: A track record of delivering major projects IFOTB with the ability to mentor and guide junior team members.
Change Management: Experience leading projects involving significant transformation and change management.
