What you will be doing
Interpreting weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales data and trend analysis to construct quarterly Sales Projections.
Overseeing budgets and creating financial strategies for upcoming seasons.
Participating in all Supplier meetings and industry events.
Cultivating and strengthening relationships with our Supplier network.
Engaging in effective negotiation with Suppliers.
Conceptualizing, creating, and developing exclusive product lines with select Supplier partners.
Staying abreast of emerging Suppliers and market trends, identifying opportunities to expand the Department and boost sales.
Presenting product ranges for approval to the leadership
Implementing in-season price adjustments and actively managing future inventory orders.
Leading, guiding, and fostering the growth of Junior Buyers or Buyer’s Assistants
What We're Looking For:
You must have at least 3+ years’ of demonstrated experience as a Retail buyer
Retail experience with hard goods and Outdoor Camping category will be desirable
Merchandising/Financial Planning experience is essential
Experience in reporting analysis to identify trends
Sound knowledge of current fashion sportswear trends
Ability to effectively build relationships with stakeholders across all levels
Negotiating and Influencing skills is a must
Experience training, developing and mentoring a team
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
Strong organisational skills and a high attention to detail
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically across PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
