What You Will Be Doing:

You will join our Group Finance & Compliance Team. Reporting to the Group Financial Accounting Manager the successful candidate have a "once in a career” opportunity to be a member of a high performing team with an extremely unique and diverse remittance and exposures.

The successful candidate will gain experience across:

  • Preparation, review and analysis of group management reports and tracking of financial performance against forecasts/last year
  • Management of Spotlight Retail Group annual compliance audit requirements
  • Preparation and review of domestic and overseas tax reporting
  • Group Statutory Reporting with exposure to entity types, complex structures and key stakeholders
  • Continuous review of operations to ensure compliance with governing bodies
  • Structuring and estate compliance, International investments compliance
  • Assisting with SGH Board, Tax & Governance, Superannuation and Investment Committee reporting requirements
  • Work closely with the Retail, Property, Investments, Legal and Treasury functions
  • Liaise with third party stakeholder and service providers
  • Exposure to Senior leadership and key group stakeholders
  • Coaching,  Executive mentoring and continual professional development opportunities


About You:

  • CA/CPA qualification with a 5+ years’ experience
  • Strong Statutory Reporting experience (Trusts, Partnerships, Companies and Self-Managed Superannuation Funds, preferable but not essential).
  • Experience in managing Annual Audit process
  • Experience in using technology for automation and streamlining of systems and processes
  • Excellent oral and written communication, time management skills with a ‘can do’ attitude
  • Strong conceptual and analytical skills with ability to employ judgement to solve problems
  • ERP systems understanding and working knowledge
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent attention to detail, alongside strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Maintain strict confidentiality with financial related records
